Crown witness Nabil B. stops declaring if he cannot choose a lawyer NOW

The crown witness in the liquidation process, Marengo, Nabil B., said on Monday during a pro forma hearing in the court of Amsterdam that he will no longer make statements if he is not able to choose his own lawyer.

According to B., a lawyer and advisor were willing to speak to him, but this duo was rejected by the Public Prosecution Service (OM) because one of them was not a lawyer.

“Why was this approved six weeks ago and rejected at the last minute?”, B. read from an unknown location. “I don’t understand that this choice has been taken from me.”

The man has made forty statements in the Marengo trial, in which he appoints Ridouan T. as the client of several murders. B., however, has been without lawyers for two months, after his previous anonymous lawyers quit for unknown reasons.

The lawyers of the seventeen suspects in this criminal case have been hearing B. for some time, until he decided on Friday to stop answering questions. “I had to cancel my hearing and ask the Public Prosecution Service to allow me to choose my own lawyers so that I do not have to stop permanently.”

Lawyer of B. shot dead in Amsterdam

“My previous lawyer is murdered“, according to B. referring to Derk Wiersum who was shot dead in September last year.” A man who does not find any blame and that hit me hard. “

“First I had to deal with the loss of my brother,” continued B., whose innocent brother was in Amsterdam shot dead. Presumably out of revenge because B. had become a crown witness. “I am also co-responsible for the suffering of others and I sincerely apologize for that.”

The prosecution said in an initial response that “it was not the right time to address this issue now,” the officer said, but will do so at a later time.

Crown witness has concluded an agreement

B. has entered into an agreement with the Public Prosecution Service containing the obligation to declare in this trial a series of murders, violations of the Weapons and Ammunition Act, official corruption and participation in a criminal organization.

The man, who is involved in liquidations, gets a 50 percent penalty in exchange for his statements when it comes to the criminal prosecution of the Public Prosecution Service. In B.’s case, that’s twelve years.
