Czech hockey striker Jakub Vrána is leaving Washington in the NHL and will play for Detroit.
The Red Wings acquired the 25-year-old offspring of Prague’s Letňany together with the Slovak Richard Pánik in exchange for the rights of selections in the first round of this year’s draft and in the second round next year, and another forward Anthony Manth.
The Capitals chose the crow in 13th place in the first round in 2014, and four years later won the Stanley Cup with them.
This season, Crow scored 25 points in 39 games for 11 goals and 14 assists. At the beginning of April, he remained in the stands only in two matches as a healthy substitute, in the last four duels he was no longer missing from the line-up. In Friday’s match, when he won in Buffalo 4: 3, he scored once and ended a 13-goal goal fast. On Sunday in Boston, he participated in the 8: 1 victory with one assist.
In five seasons in the NHL, Crow has 284 games and 157 points (76 + 81). In 38 playoff duels, the vice-champion of the world from the 2013 Eighteen Championship scored three goals and five assists. After the season, Crow expires a two-year contract for $ 6.7 million and can become a protected free agent. In Detroit, he will meet defender Filip Hronek and forward Filip Zadina.
The 30-year-old Pánik has played 36 games for the Capitals this season and scored nine points for three goals and six assists. The former player of Tampa Bay, Toronto, Chicago and Arizona in the NHL entered a total of 505 games and scored 190 points (87 + 103). In 20 playoff duels, he scored one goal and passed to four.
He went to North America in 2009 from Třinec, where he also tasted the Czech extra league. He still has a valid four-year contract for $ 11 million for the next two seasons.
Twenty-six-year-old Mantha has scored 21 points in 11 games this year for 11 goals and 10 assists. The Red Wings chose him in 2013 in the first round of the draft in 20th place, and in the NHL he has a balance of 194 points (95 + 99) out of 302 duels. Last November, he signed a four-year contract for $ 22.8 million.
