NY – The Mayor of New York, Bill de Blasio, criticized this Sunday the people who violated the confinement rules and went out partying, stating that this threatens the health of all the inhabitants of the city.
Meanwhile the governor of the state of New York, Andrew Cuomo, was tested for coronavirus Live and direct on television, while announcing that all those with symptoms are eligible for the test.
And two more regions of the state – the western sector and the capital region – fulfilled the seven criteria to start the reopening of their businesses, but they need to hire hundreds of other people to track down those who came into contact with the sick.
The areas of construction, agriculture, forestry, fishing, hunting, manufacturing and wholesale may reopen. Retail stores will be able to operate, but only with shipments or allowing customers to come and collect their purchases.
De Blasio lashed out at people who gathered in front of bars on Saturday night without masks and gloves and drinks in hand.
Authorities could close venues that violate distancing rules, de Blasio said, asking citizens to report all kinds of unhealthy behavior.
Meanwhile, Cuomo said on Sunday that all residents who feel coronavirus symptoms, such as cough or breathing difficulties, are now eligible for the test, as are those who return to work as part of the gradual reopening of the local economy.
The state is expanding the pool of candidate people to be tested due to an increase in testing capacity. Mobile kiosks have been erected to apply diagnostics and are implementing about a third of their maximum capacity of 15,000 tests, Cuomo said.
