Today, Philadelphia 76ers guard Danny Green participated in a show where he chatted with host Colin Cowherd about Rockets star James Harden.
Cowherd: “Yesterday I saw a report about James Harden getting some star treatment, and Russell Westbrook was unhappy about it. I understand this. The NBA needs Hollywood plots and ticket sales. I understand. But Danny What do you think is the bottom line for players like Harden or LeBron James or Joel Embiid? For example, Harden is sometimes late, do you feel unhappy about it?”
Green replied: “Yes, no doubt. As a star, you should be the leader of the team, especially for young players, who want to learn from you on and off the court. So my bottom line is that you can Holidays or something, but at least you have to show up during training.”
“Sometimes you also have good excuses or reasons. For example, if you want to take care of children or something, it’s okay. It’s normal for everyone, but the bottom line is that you can’t always skip training, or always Being late, every time, I think it will be very annoying, because everyone’s time is precious, no one will think your time is more important than ours. As a leader, as a star, you will definitely get special treatment , But at the very least you have to participate in training as punctually as possible.”
“We’re focusing on us and what we can control. If it happens, so be it. We’ll figure it out when that time comes and adjust and adapt to it.”
