Criticism of protective mask requirement when shopping; USA with over 3,000 deaths

Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto has responded to international criticism of the Budapest Parliament’s self-shutdown in the corona crisis. The critics acted out of “frustration and envy,” Szijjarto wrote on Facebook. “You can only dream of the social support that the Hungarian government enjoys with its two-thirds majority in the last three elections,” wrote Szijjarto. The criticism of the “never elected Austrian Greens”, the “German socialists who are forever the little brother in the grand coalition”, the Luxembourg communists or the “extremely intolerant northern liberals” was “not surprising”.

The “international liberal mainstream” had criticized Hungary ten years ago when the country had shown the door to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and thus prevented an economic collapse. Hungary was also criticized five years ago when it built a fence on the southern border to protect its people. Now this mainstream Hungary is even attacking “because the democratically elected Hungarian parliament has given us the powers to protect our country against the global pandemic”.

Chancellor Sebastian Kurz (ÖVP) did big last night ORF-Interview declined to comment on Hungary and pointed out that due to the corona crisis he had no time to deal with Hungary.
