Zinedine Zidane is reluctant to fall into rumors that Cristiano Ronaldo will return to Real Madrid from Juventus but the Los Blancos boss insists he is still a big fan of the Portuguese star.
Ronaldo’s future at Juventus in Turin is starting to be questioned. Sharp criticism came to the superstar after the Old Lady was eliminated from the last 16 of the Champions League.
Ronaldo, now 36, has only one year left on his contract in Italy, prompting reports that officials at the Santiago Bernabeu opened the door for him.
“You know the quality of Cristiano Ronaldo, what he has done and how much we love him,” said Zidane.
“He has created history here. Cristiano is incredible.”
“Now he is a Juventus player and I cannot comment on media reports. Cristiano is a Juventus player and I have to respect things like this.”
Ronaldo landed his foot in the Spanish capital in 2009 from Manchester United while holding the status of the world’s most expensive player.
He immediately shone with Madrid and cemented his name as one of the club legends with a score of 450 goals in 438 appearances.
