The shocking news comes from football. Cristiano Ronaldo tested positive for infection corona virus.
This information was conveyed by the Portuguese Football Federation on its official website. It was stated that the Juventus attacker contracted the corona virus after undergoing tests.
In his statement, Ronaldo was immediately sent home from the squad. CR7 was also in good condition, aka without symptoms when he contracted COVID-19.
“Cristiano Ronaldo has been released from national team duty after testing positive for COVID-19, so he will not face Sweden. The Portuguese international is in good condition, without symptoms and is currently in isolation,” wrote a Portugal statement.
“Following the positive case, the remaining players underwent their latest tests on Tuesday morning. All the results were negative, and are available for Fernando Santos’ team for training this afternoon at City of Football.”
“The match, which counts as a UEFA Nations League qualifying phase match, is scheduled for Wednesday, at 19:45, at Alvalade,” he explained.
Ronaldo will also be absent when Portugal face Sweden on the fourth matchday of the UEFA Nations League Group A3. The match will be held on Wednesday (14/10) local time, or Thursday (15/10) in the morning WIB.
Ronaldo himself last played against France. In that match, the Selecao das Quinas were evenly scoreless.
