Photo: Rolf Vennenbernd/dpa/Symbolbild (Photo: dpa) — Directly from the dpa news channel Freiburg (dpa/lsw) – In the Freiburg process of child abuse in hundreds of cases, there is still no agreement on a proposal from the youth chamber. In return for a confession to 108 cases of serious sexual abuse of children between May 2016 and September 2019, this had promised the accused a prison sentence of six to seven years. In the hearing on Wednesday, there was no agreement on this, as a spokesman for the regional court announced. Negotiations will now continue on Friday. The public prosecutor accuses the 47-year-old of surreptitiously gaining the trust of two girls and then abusing them. In total there are more than 300 acts. In many cases, the victims were still children, i.e. younger than 14 years. So far, appointments are planned for the procedure until the beginning of February. An agreement to which the public prosecutor’s office is willing could shorten the process and possibly spare the victims from making statements. © dpa-infocom, dpa:220112-99-685812/3 – – .
