Freiburg (dpa / lsw) – More than 25 years after the death of a Freiburg biology student, the case is to be reopened on Wednesday (8:15 p.m.) in the ZDF program “Aktenzeichen XY… unsolved”. The investigators are hoping for new clues in the unsolved murder case, the police said. “We want to remember what happened after such a long time with the help of the show,” said a spokesman.

The body of 26-year-old Eva Götz was found on January 27, 1997 on a country road near Leipferdingen in the Tuttlingen district. According to the Rottweil public prosecutor, the student was probably dragged into a car on her way home in Freiburg, in which she may have been killed. According to investigators, she came back from a home visit to her parents in Landau in the Palatinate that evening. There is still no trace of the perpetrator. Now the detectives are hoping for new clues about the crime or possible other victims.

A robbery in a shopping center in Sindelfingen is said to be the subject of “Aktenzeichen XY… unsolved” on Wednesday. Two ATMs were blown up there early in the morning on October 29, 2021 and 300,000 euros were stolen. According to investigators, the four masked perpetrators could be part of a criminal organization that has been blowing up ATMs nationwide for years. The Kripo Böblingen hopes for clues to the perpetrators.
