Frankfurt / Main (dpa / lhe) – The police in Frankfurt found more than three kilograms of marijuana in the apartment of a 24-year-old man. As the police announced on Friday, the man led the officers to the site himself. The 24-year-old was sitting as a passenger in the car of a 27-year-old that the police had stopped on Thursday in the Sachsenhausen district. The officers searched the passenger, according to the information, because they had smelled marijuana.

The police found 117 grams of the drug on the man’s body. When the 24-year-old was to be brought to the police station, he asked the police to be able to drop his dog down in his apartment beforehand. From the apartment, however, the officials were again smelled of marijuana, it said.

During the subsequent search, the police found more than three kilos of marijuana packed in plastic bags and a bag with around 74 grams of hashish. The 24-year-old was provisionally arrested. The 27-year-old driver of the originally checked car is said to have also driven under the influence of drugs. A blood sample was taken from him.
