Originally it was supposed to DOOM Eternal already appear in November of last year for various platforms, but Bethesda postponed the publication to March 20, 2020 – the day of publication Animal Crossing: New Horizons, While the first-person shooter will appear for the Nintendo Switch at a later and still unknown time, the creative director showed himself in one interview with our colleagues from Gamespot pleased with the simultaneous publication with Animal Crossing: New Horizons and commented on the situation as follows:
I think it’s great and it speaks for the diversity we see in video games these days. Of course, I’m also a big fan of other video games and their developer studios. I am proud to work in the gaming industry that two completely different video games get a lot of attention and also appear on the same day. It is currently an incredible time in development [von DOOM Eternal] to be involved and I’m really looking forward to playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
