Creation of the Moroccan-Mozambican Business Council

The memorandum of understanding was signed by the President of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM), Chakib Alj, and the President of the Confederation of Economic Associations of Mozambique (CTA), Agostinho Zacarias Vuma.

The mission of this business council is to create synergies and communication channels between Moroccan and Mozambican companies, to promote the exchange of experiences and knowledge and to encourage investment and joint investment in the sectors of common interest, which will be identified within the framework of this cooperation, indicated the CGEM in a press release.

It is also intended to support companies, in particular very small, small and medium-sized enterprises (TPME), to successfully set up and develop internationally, adds the same source.

The General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises indicated that the conclusion of this agreement, which was signed on the sidelines of the American-African business summit, constitutes a new step in favor of the strengthening of economic cooperation between the private sectors of Morocco and the Mozambique, noting that it also provides for the organization of forums and delegations to federate the business community for the benefit of a permanent win-win partnership.

The objective of this session was to identify ways to strengthen cooperation between public and private actors and actions to be taken to promote co-investments and investments between African countries and between Africa and the United States, in the interests of industrial value creation.
