COVID19: The beaches of El Rosario receive 20,000 reservations in eight days | Radio Club Tenerife

In just eight days the website of the Tenerife City Council of El Rosario has received about 20,000 reservations to enjoy the beaches of La Nea, Radazul and Tabaiba. Some figures that for the Councilor for Security, Sara Cabello, “they are spectacular” although at the same time he recognizes that they do not surprise him because every summer the coasts of the municipality receive about 5,000 people a day.

However, the appointment system that El Rosario has put in place will continue “depending on the indications given as we enter a new phase of the de-escalation”, says Cabello, who acknowledges that “Many people ask us if we are going to maintain this system.”

We are facing a measure that for the municipality “It involves a high cost of private security” So, in case social distances are established throughout the summer, “We will have to find a way to maintain it” says the Councilor for Security.

How to do it?

The user must enter the application, which will be hosted during this weekend on the municipal website (www.ay Ayuntamientoelrosario.org), choose the day, the time slot and the bathing area to which they want to go (La Nea, Radazul or charco de Tabaiba) and enter your name, surname and ID in the system, which will assign you a place, as long as the maximum capacity of the chosen bathing area has not been reached.

The mayor of El Rosario, Escolástico Gil, explains that “in El Rosario we are not going to allow images like the ones we have all seen on television on the beaches of Barcelona, for example. We must be aware that we have not defeated the coronavirus and we are not we will do it until there is no vaccine. A relapse now would be devastating, both economically and, most importantly, in health. If we do not behave responsibly and civilly, people’s lives are at stake. “
