Wearing a mask remains compulsory for the whole of the Touraine Metropolis :

Following the example of what is practiced in large national cities, and following the recommendation of the High Council for Public Health, the obligation to wear a mask has been extended to the whole of the Métropole de Tours since Saturday, October 24. , also in a perimeter in Amboise and on all the open-air markets of the department.

People aged 11 and over must therefore always wear a mask in public spaces at all times. This obligation does not however apply to people practicing a physical activity (cyclists, running), circulating in a vehicle or moped or provided with a medical certificate justifying this exemption.

This preventive measure, protective and easy to apply, significantly limits the emission of respiratory particles in high density outdoor areas. It must be combined with the rigorous application of the other barrier measures such as physical distancing and hand hygiene.

Free screening tests :

In accordance with the Government’s screening strategy aimed at prioritizing symptomatic people, at-risk contact cases and nursing staff, private laboratories as well as the CHRU laboratory are extending their reception hours and deploying screening sites to ensure a network coherent of the metropolitan territory.

For symptomatic people and / or defined as a risky contact case, the laboratories are involved, under the vigilance of the ARSRegional Health Agency to provide test results within 24 hours.

Screening information, new sites and schedules, are updated every week on the website

As a reminder, so that the test is useful, risky contact cases should not be detected until D + 7 of the last contact with a sick person, which implies respecting an effective isolation period of 7 days.
