The curve of covid cases continues to grow in Argentina. This afternoon the Ministry of Health reported that in the last week there have been registered 62,261 positive cases, which means a 130 percent increase, and 39 deaths.
Faced with this scenario, the Health portfolio reiterated the importance of maintaining the application of booster dose of the vaccine against this disease, especially in people over the age of 50 and in those with conditions at risk.
As for the deceased, it was reported that 37 were over 50 and 19 over 80. More than 71% of the deceased had comorbidities.
As for ICU admissions, 3 were reported.42 people hospitalized in intensive care (84 people more than the previous week).
On the advance of vaccination, the 82 percent of the total population of the country the first two doses were applied. Additionally, 21,971,305 people received the first vaccine booster, while 6,774,900 people received the second booster and 758,153 the third.
In the last 8 weeks, 1,757,655 vaccinations have been carried out, of which 1,664,260 correspond to booster doses. Reinforcement application rate increased by a 270 percent during the last 4 weeks.
