Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The Covid-19 outbreak in China is said to have occurred months before the country reported globally. The findings were mentioned by a research team from the Institute for Genomics and Evolutionary Medicines at Temple University in Philadelphia, United States.
The research team stated that the virus had been circulating since mid-October 2019. The report is in line with the Chinese government’s timeline which was only opened in early 2020.
“All the evidence shows if a virus [Covid-19] comes from China. The pattern of spread in the world is also consistent with the spread of the Chinese virus in other countries, “said one of the researchers, Sergei Pond, quoted by the Mirror, Thursday (4/2/2021).
The results of this study came together with the presence of a WHO team of scientists in China. They came to investigate the origin of Covid-19 in the country.
The team of scientists conducted the research for two weeks. The independent expert group will also visit places such as hospitals, markets and exhibitions to remind you of how Wuhan is fighting the outbreak.
The findings are also in accordance with the previous claims of the United States. The US State Department said that researchers at the Wuhan Institute of Virology had fallen ill in the fall of 2019.

The US government accuses WIV of not being transparent about research on viruses similar to Covid-19. This includes a sample of bats said to have been taken from a cave in Yunan Province about three years before the study began.
