The idea of a European certificate for vaccinated people was launched by the Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis to restore oxygen to tourism. At the same time, in the face of the violence of the pandemic it will be necessary to make “courageous choices”, he added.
Great Britain, now outside the EU, will not participate in the debate. The island, on the other hand, is now more armored than ever after the stop on connections with Portugal and South America, for fear of Brazilian variants, and the imposition of anti-Covid tests for passengers arriving from other countries. In addition, anyone arriving in the UK could be forced to spend a period of quarantine in designated hotels, at their own expense: the government is considering this option.
