According to microbiologist Andrea Crisanti, “if we allow this disease to become endemic, it will gradually hit older people e it will affect the average lifespan“. In any case, at least for the moment, Italy should not remove the restrictions and, even when this is possible, the measures that prevent the infected from infecting must not be removed.
