Covid: Kim, ‘there are no cases here in North Korea’ – Ultima Ora

(ANSA) – SEUL, 10 OCT – North Korean leader Kim Jong-un said that there are no cases of Covid-19 infection in his country and wished all coronavirus patients around the world.

Speaking during a military parade, Kim said he was grateful that “not a single person” in North Korea has contracted the coronavirus that has hit the world since it developed in neighboring China.

Pyongyang closed its borders in January to prevent the virus from circulating and has regularly stated that it has no sick people, but in recent months state media have avoided explicit statements on the matter and instead emphasized the importance of prevention efforts. (HANDLE).
