Faced with the resurgence of the Covid-19 epidemic, the Montluçon public hospital and the Saint-François private clinic are making new arrangements. In particular concerning the visits of hospitalized patients and the reception of accompanying persons during consultations.
At the Montluçon hospital center
The Montluçon hospital center announced, in a press release published this Thursday, October 22, the ban on visits from this Friday 23 October. However, some hospital services are an exception, but under certain conditions:
- Pediatric service: visits are only authorized for parents,
- Maternity: visits authorized to the accompanying parent, as well as to the infant’s brothers and sisters,
- Ehpad: one visitor per day and per resident,
- Palliative care: visits authorized according to medical advice.
Visits are also authorized in psychiatry, with special restrictions.

Accompanying persons are also no longer allowed during consultations., “Except for minors and vulnerable patients”.
At the Saint-François clinic
The Saint-François clinic, located in Désertines, announced on Monday, October 19, to suspend visits to all of its services.
Like the public hospital, the clinic no longer allows accompanying persons alongside patients in consultation. “Exceptions are provided for palliative care according to medical advice”, specifies the private hospital.
