This week, the World Health Organization (WHO) admitted that there have been cases of myocarditis (inflammation of the heart muscle) in people who had just received mRNA vaccines (Pfizer, Moderna) against covid-19.
Although this is not a new announcement, the European Committee for Drug Surveillance (PRAC) also explained that the Pfizer vaccine causes dizziness and the AstraZeneca vaccine causes cutaneous vasculitis.

Regarding myocarditis, a condition reported as a side effect in several studies for some time, The WHO stressed that these are very rare situations and generally of a mild nature.
Given the reappearance of reports and news about the relationship between vaccines and coronary problems, especially in the United States, the director of the WHO Department of Immunization, Kate O’Brien, assured at a press conference that “there is no evidence of a relationship between vaccination and heart attacks.”
“The risk of vaccine-induced myocarditis had been identified before, but they are very rare cases, which when they occur are usually mild inflammations, which respond well to treatment and disappear within a few days, being less serious than other types of myocarditis,” assured.

“Our recommendation remains that the benefits of vaccination against covid-19 outweigh the potential risks,” added O’Brien, who also warned that Covid-19 itself can cause heart problems in the body, including coronary attacks and strokes.
On the other hand, the PRAC has begun to consider dizziness as a side effect of the Pfizer vaccine that can appear within 24 hours of injection. However, the Spanish Agency for Medicines and Health Products (Aemps) also points out in the 19th Pharmacovigilance Report of the Covid vaccine that it is an “infrequent” adverse reaction.
