COVID-19 Vaccination for Children Under 5 Begins Tuesday at the DMV – NBC4 Washington

Following the final approval by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention of the COVID-19 vaccine for infants 6 months to 5 years of age, health departments in our region are now preparing to launch the application of the first doses.

In DC, Maryland and Virginia from June 21, parents or guardians will be able to request an appointment to vaccinate the little ones.

Pfizer’s vaccine will be for children ages 6 months to 4 years and will be given in a series of three doses: the first two three weeks apart and the third at least two months after the second dose.

Moderna’s vaccine would be for children up to 5 years old and will be given in a series of two doses four weeks apart.

For more information on these vaccines in Virginia and Maryland, you can visit the pages vaccinate.viriginia.gov y covidvax.maryland.gov.

While in the District, there is a vaccination point in each constituency.
