COVID-19 – US confirms 50 deaths and 2,430 cases of coronavirus

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has confirmed this Saturday 50 deaths and 2,430 cases of the new coronavirus. It has also reported that West Virginia is the only state that does not yet have a confirmed case.

This Saturday, the first death from the coronavirus in New York state, an 82-year-old woman who died in New York City on Friday, has been confirmed, as explained by the governor of New York, Andrew Cuomo, in a conference telephone press. The woman “had been suffering from emphysema for a long time,” Cuomo said.

New York Mayor Bill de Blasio has confirmed the figure and explained that the woman suffered from “advanced emphysema and was hospitalized last week in critical condition” at Wyckoff Medical Center.

“We all have something to do in this situation. I ask every New Yorker to do their part and take the necessary precautionary measures to protect the people who are most at risk,” he added.
