The increase in deaths from the coronavirus in Senegal is worrying and exceeds forecasts, according to the director general of the economic forecasting office, Mubarack Lô. He considers the death rate linked to Covid 19 in Senegal alarming and reveals that the number of deaths exceeds the forecasts of the study conducted by the said office.
Red for Senegal
“We are in the red scenario. The death rate now exceeds our forecasts for the end of July. It’s extremely serious“, Declared Mubarack Lô, who was the guest of the program of the Grand Jury, this Sunday, on the Rfm.
Strong message
“I appeal to health officials and the Ministry of Health to think together to see what is causing these deaths, which are beyond the norm ”, thunders the economist Mubarack Lô.
The vaccine
For him, the disease will continue to spread in Senegal as long as there is no vaccine. “Senegal will have a case every day until a vaccine is discovered. The disease will not go away overnight, just as if by chance“, He underlined.
Barrier measures
He continues: “MNow, it will be necessary to work to limit the cases of community transmissions, to maintain the pressure on the communities to respect the barrier gestures.“
