COVID-19: More than 505,000 dead and more than 10 million infected worldwide – News

According to data collected by the French news agency until 11:00 am in Lisbon, at least 505,652 people have died and there are more than 10,322,400 infected in 196 countries and territories since the beginning of the epidemic in December 2019 in the city Chinese from Wuhan.

At least 5,187,300 cases were considered cured by health authorities.

AFP warns that the number of diagnosed cases reflects only a fraction of the actual total infections, as some countries are testing only serious cases, others use the test as a priority for screening and many poor countries have only limited screening capacity.

The United States, which recorded its first coronavirus-related death in early February, is the country most affected in terms of number of deaths and cases, with 126,141 deaths and 2,590,582 cases, respectively. At least 705,203 people were declared cured.
