COVID-19: Minsa develops app to detect authenticity in vaccination cards nndc | PERU

As a preventive strategy against the physical or digital falsification of documents, the Ministry of Health announced that it is developing an application that will verify the authenticity of vaccination cards against COVID-19. This app would be coming into operation in the next few days.

According to the director of the General Directorate of Strategic Interventions in Public Health of the Minsa, Alexis Holguín Ruíz, it is a digital tool that will help to verify the data of the vaccinated people and if the information (of the physical or digital card) is real.

“It is a tool that is going to help a lot the centers where people who seek to enter closed spaces will be received. Verification will be with the QR code or by viewing the photos of the This tool will allow the verification process to be faster “Holguín told Andina news agency.

He announced that said application will be ready in the next few days, before the restrictions on entering closed places are applied (December 10) for people with incomplete vaccination.

According to the official, the application will keep the confidentiality of the data of each person and “It will be vital to know if the person has the two doses of vaccine or not”.

As is known, as of December 10, those over 18 must present their vaccination card (with two doses) before entering closed spaces and, if they do not do so, they will be prevented from entering.
