COVID-19 in the NFL | Three other Browns players on the sidelines

It is not known if Sendejo, Joseph or Bryant tested positive for the virus or if they had close contact with an infected person.

The two were part of the 23-16 loss to the New York Jets on Sunday, when the Browns (10-5) were deprived of six players, including their top four receivers, due to pandemic measures.

The Browns will advance to the playoffs for the first time since 2002 if they beat the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. The Steelers, who already have their playoff ticket, will give quarterback Ben Roethlisberger their leave.

Linebacker BJ Goodson tested positive for COVID-19 last week, while receivers Jarvis Landry, Rashard Higgins, Donovan Peoples-Jones and KhaDarel Hodge, as well as linebacker Jacob Phillips had to go into segregation due to high-risk contact with Goodson.

Goodson will also have to miss the game against the Steelers, but the other five players are eligible for return to training on Thursday if they do not produce a positive sample.
