Covid-19: Hay Mohammadi en quarantaine

As we announced yesterday, three prefectures in the city of Casablanca are experiencing an upsurge in cases of Covid 19 contamination.

One of these three affected areas was quarantined on Tuesday afternoon. Hay Mohammadi is now isolated from the rest of Casablanca due to the fact that it is home to many sources of infection. Faced with the slackening of citizens and the skyrocketing of cases, the authorities were quick to apply rigorous measures in this populous perimeter, thus tightening restrictions, particularly in terms of mobility.

It should be noted that at the level of the prefecture of Ain Sebaa-Hay Mohammadi, the number of active cases has climbed by about 15 times, going, in a few weeks, from 21 cases on June 6 to 296 cases on August 9. In addition, the epidemiological assessment stopped this Tuesday at 6 p.m. places the region of Casablanca-Settat at the top of the regional ranking with 391 cases out of the 1,132 cases detected in the last 24 hours. The virus circulates at high speed hence the need to strengthen vigilance and respect the dictated health measures.
