Covid-19 cases in the Valley rise to 14,422; this Sunday five people died in the department

Valle del Cauca added 214 confirmed cases of coronavirus this Sunday, bringing the total number of infections in the department to 14,422, according to the most recent report from the Ministry of Health and Social Protection.

In the last 24 hours, 25,137 tests were processed in the country, of which 5083 yielded a positive result. With these diagnoses, Colombia reaches 150,445 infected, of which 82,360 are active cases.

The cases confirmed this Sunday at the national level correspond to Bogotá (2116), Barranquilla (653), Antioquia (507), Atlántico (412), Cartagena (251), Valle (214), Cundinamarca (149), Sucre (104), Nariño (78), Cesar (72), Córdoba (68), Santander (67), Meta (50), Norte de Santander (47), Guajira (44), Bolívar (42), Cauca (41), Tolima (38 ), Santa Marta (25), Risaralda (23), Chocó (20), Caquetá (15), Caldas (9), Boyacá (8), Putumayo (7), Amazonas (7), Huila (6), Magdalena ( 5), Casanare (2), Quindío (2) and San Andrés (1).

This Sunday, 188 people died in the country, five of whom lost their lives in Valle del Cauca. Deaths were also recorded in Bogotá (58), Barranquilla (37), Atlántico (32), Córdoba (10), Antioquia (8), Cauca (5), Chocó (5), Sucre (5), Bolívar (4), Cartagena (3), Cundinamarca (3), Guajira (3), Nariño (2), Santa Marta (2), Tolima (2), Magdalena (1), Norte de Santander (1), Putumayo (1) and Santander ( one).

According to reports, an 86-year-old woman who suffered from hypertension and hypothyroidism died in Cali; a 68-year-old hypertensive woman; and a 61-year-old woman with kidney disease and multiple myeloma as pre-existing conditions. In Trujillo, a 37-year-old man with HIV and malnutrition died, while in Florida, an 80-year-old hypertensive and diabetic man lost his life.

Colombia already has 5,307 deaths and those recovered amount to 63,451.

The territories most affected by the pandemic at the national level are Bogotá (49,644), Atlántico (33,700), Valle (14,422), Bolívar (12,206) and Antioquia (9253).

The pandemic situation worldwide is 12,698,995 infected, 564,924 deaths and 7,046,535 recovered.
