Covid-19 cases continue to decline in the Valley

The presence of Covid-19 in the ward continues to decrease. In the last week, between December 30 and January 5, 162 cases were recorded, 34 fewer than the previous week.

Similarly, 34 new patients were admitted to intensive care due to the disease and only two deaths were reported.

Even so, the Secretary of Health of the Valley, María Cristina Lesmes, has asked the people of the Valle del Cauca not to relax the protective measures.

“In this moment of returning to school, to working life and at the beginning of this 2023, the invitation is to take care of yourself and, above all, it would be very important that both children and adults get vaccinated, we have many doses of the vaccine available for covid and other regular vaccines,” Lesmes said.

The municipality with the most positive results in the last week was Seville, with 19, followed by Roldanillo (18) and Buga (17).
