A case in an Ehpad

A case has been identified in a nursing home in Creuse. The ARS does not wish to communicate the name of the nursing home, nor of the municipality. This is a member of staff who was tested on his return from vacation. “He was very little present in the establishment”, assures Isabelle Dumond. A few people, who may have had risky contacts with the patient, were screened on Monday, August 24. All staff and residents will be tested on Friday August 28.

No new cases in football teams

Regarding the screenings carried out within the football teams of Saint-Sulpice-le-Guérétois and Gouzon, all the returns of the analyzes are negative. There is therefore only one positive case, that of patient zero.

At the reception centers for asylum seekers in Guéret and La Souterraine, there are still 17 positive cases (13 in Guéret, 4 in La Souterraine). There are no new positive cases.

Two people hospitalized

The number of people hospitalized in Creuse in connection with the Covid is still two.

Note that the incidence rate in Creuse is decreasing. He was 22 last week. It fell below the 20 mark (exactly 19.8). This rate represents the number of new cases of Covid compared to the number of inhabitants of each department. The “point of attention” is at 20. “However, we must remain vigilant”, insists the head of ARS Creuse.

No new case at the Leclerc store
An employee of the Leclerc hypermarket in Guéret, who showed symptoms, had tested positive between August 11 and 13. The regional health agency had estimated that neither a quatorzaine, nor a massive screening of the staff were necessary, which caused questions among some Creusois. “There is no other case to our knowledge, affirms Isabelle Dumond. To decide whether or not to mass screening, we do a detailed analysis. We are investigating, with the head of the establishment, to see if any people were in contact at risk with the positive person, that is to say if there was compliance with the barrier measures. There there was no contact at risk. “
