In Germany, a court sentenced a mother who killed five of her children.
The woman, nicknamed the “mother of death” (Todesmutter), was actually sentenced to life imprisonment, writes Mail Online.
Last September, Christina K. (now 28) drugged her three daughters Melina, Leonie and Sophie (one, two and three years old), as well as their sons Timo and Luka (six and eight years old).
She is believed to have slipped a drugged cocktail into the kids’ breakfast so they could be killed easily. Then she strangled or drowned the children in the bathtub, and wrapped the bodies in towels and put them in cots.

Christina herself tried to commit suicide by jumping on the rails, but survived and was arrested. The grandmother notified the police about the crimes, saying that she learned about the incident directly from Christina. The police rushed to the family home, but arrived too late, the children could not be reanimated.
Now the Solingen city court has sentenced the murderer to at least 15 years in prison, practically excluding the possibility of further release after serving this term.
According to prosecutors, Christina played the role of an ideal mother in marriage with her third husband. However, shortly before the crime, her husband left her. The woman was left alone with six children, four of whom are from her last marriage, and was “emotionally shaken.”
Christina was prompted to murder by a photo on Facebook, which her ex posted on the morning of September 3. In the picture, he was with his new girlfriend. Then Christina wrote to the man that he would never see his children again.
The woman herself claimed that a masked intruder broke into the house, tied her up, and then killed the children. However, there was no evidence of this. In addition, before the court, psychiatrists confirmed Christina’s sanity.
