Countries that are Starting to Open Doors for Indonesians

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia

A number of countries have begun to relax entry rules for foreign nationals (WNA) to their countries, including citizens from Indonesia (WNI) in the midst of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Here’s the list:

1. Filipina

Indonesia’s neighboring country has allowed Indonesian citizens to re-enter starting September 6 last year. Previously, the Philippines closed its doors to Indonesians since April 2021.

The Philippines also lifted the ban on citizens from Bangladesh, India, Malaysia, Nepal, Oman, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and the United Arab Emirates. However, nationals entering the Philippines must undergo quarantine for 14 days from the day of arrival.

2. Malaysia

Likewise with Malaysia, the local government allows Indonesian citizens to enter the neighboring country, although with strict conditions. This permit has been granted since September 10, 2021. Apart from Indonesia, there are 23 other countries that are also permitted.

3. Turkey

Turkey allows Indonesian citizens to enter their country in the midst of the pandemic. There are no restrictions from this country as long as you have a travel visa to Turkey.

“Anyone who wants to visit Turkey can apply for a visa through the government’s official website at www.evisa.gov.tr,” the Turkish Embassy in Indonesia wrote as quoted by Antara.
