The Ivorian Prime Minister said he was both relieved and proud to launch the work of thehospital general of Konglong awaited by the inhabitants of this capital of the department.

“Dear populations, I know that the expectation of a hospital infrastructure worthy of the name for the city of Kong was long. But this will very soon be an old memory, because with thehospital which will come out of the ground, no one here will need to get into an ambulance to go for treatment in Korhogo, Ferkessédougou and others,” said Patrick Achi.

He paid strong tribute to the Head of State Alassane Ouattara, son of Kong who spares, according to him, no effort so that his fellow citizens live in comfort.

L’hospital general of Kongwith a capacity of 129 beds, will be built on an area of ​​one hectare and will include all the services required for a hospital modern. It will include, among other things, an operating room, a consultation room, a gynecology department, medical generale, ophthalmology, pediatrics etc.

According to Pierre Dimba N’Gou, Minister of Health, Public Hygiene and Universal Health Coverage, the building will be delivered by December 2023 at a cost of carrying out the work of 22 billion FCFA. Minister Dimba said he was reassured of one thing: “the populations of Kong will no longer have to travel long distances to seek treatment, because the building that will emerge from the ground will be their pride”. technical College with an area of ​​4328 m2, it will accommodate 500 learners. However, this workforce will gradually reach 1,000 in the agro-food, agricultural machinery, refrigeration and air conditioning sectors.

According to Minister Koffi N’Guessan in charge of Technical Education, Vocational Training and Apprenticeship, new courses will gradually complete those already existing. These include modern animal husbandry and milk production, renewable energies, IT and the digitization of services. These initial trainings will be reinforced by short-term qualifying trainings.

“The technical College of Kong, is an instrument at the service of the sub-region. Agreements are planned to accommodate Kong, pupils and students from Burkina Faso and Niger in particular. This high school will help change the lives of young people in the region of Kong“, he expressed himself.

In addition to these two infrastructures, there is the green project, launched by the Prime Minister, which consists of installing equipment for livestock farming, agriculture (market gardening) and aquaculture.

So many projects aimed at young people in this northern border area considered vulnerable to the phenomenon of terrorism.

“Young people often have the feeling of being abandoned. But with the projects put in place, the populations and in particular the young people will be integrated into socio-economic life, without intending to disturb anyone,” said noted the Prime Minister.

He took the opportunity to make this appeal to the populations of Kong.

“If someone has to enter your home, it is because they benefit from the complicity of someone from your home. Be aware that you are the first barriers in the fight against terrorism”, he said. declared.

Note that during the same day of Wednesday August 10, 2022, Patrick Achi proceeded to lay the first stone of thehospital general of Ouangolodougou, the inauguration of a language processing plant in Sinématiali, and the launch of asphalting works on the Nassian-Kafolo-Téhini axis. The ceremony took place in the presence of Ténin Birahima Ouattara, Minister of State, Minister of Defence, also President of the Regional Council of Tchologo, son and executive of Kong.
