Like his trainer Paulo Sousa, Benoît Costil wants to leave the Girondins de Bordeaux according to RMC Sport.

Thirteen days ago, RMC revealed that Paulo Sousa had told his managerial players of his intention to leave the Girondins de Bordeaux, disappointed and tired of the King Street project. If the departure of the Portuguese is not yet confirmed, RMC reveals that his captain Benoît Costil also wants to leave.
Info #RMCsport : Captain of the Girondins de Bordeaux Benoit #Costil asked for an exit voucher from the Bordeaux management. The player is too bored by the situation, the lack of sporting ambitions and the departure of #Sousa.

The 33-year-old goalkeeper, who still has a two-year contract with the Girondins, would have asked his managers to let him go this summer if there is a good offer. A request that Costil would have made to his management ten days ago, “too tired by the situation and too worried about the lack of ambition of the Girondin project”, according to an internal source cited by the radio.
We do not yet know what the management of Gironde think, but some have already an idea of who could replace Costil if the latter were to set sail this summer … A rumor that could gain weight if Jean-Louis Gasset becomes the future coach of the Girondins.
If the Girondins are not too stupid (spoil: they are), they will urgently take advantage of the situation to recover Ruffier in order to replace Costil, who (logically) wants to leave.
But if they weren’t too stupid, they would have already kept Bernardoni … Clown club.
