Coronavirus. Wearing a mask is compulsory in the city center from Saturday

“I would have liked this measure to be taken before”

Bruno Clément is the head of the restaurant Les Moulins Bleus (128 seats) in Thionville. He gives his opinion on the new restrictions affecting Thionville and, consequently, the profession.

Mask required. “In my opinion, it’s a good decision. Moreover, I would have liked this measure to be taken before. The reason ? There isn’t a single service that goes on without my having to call a customer to order. From now on, the rule will be simple and more readable for all. People will already be masked in the street so, normally, it will be useless to recall the protocol in force. I must admit that sometimes, often even, I had to confront clients who did not want to listen to reason… ”

Six people maximum per table. “In my case, and even if the restriction will have an influence on my turnover, this measure will be digested. The restaurant, with 128 seats, has enough space to meet this limitation at the table. However, I have a thought for smaller establishments. For colleagues, it looks more problematic … “

Customer register. “I wouldn’t say I’m happy to claim the identity and contact details of each person… But I think it will reassure customers. We are in a particular situation which generates particular constraints. Our goal, all of us, must be to stay out of a curfew. It would be dramatic for the profession. So let’s abide by the rules. “
