CORONAVIRUS USA | Tom Hanks reappeared on television after overcoming the new coronavirus (COVID-19). The well-known 63-year-old actor made a special program for “Saturday Night Live”, where he referred to the disease.

“It feels good to be here, although it’s also a bit weird to host Saturday Night Live from home. It’s a very strange time to try to be fun, but that’s the point of SNL. So I thought, ‘what the hell, let’s make the attempt.’ ” Hanks said at the start of his monologue.

“Why did you choose me to host? Well, first of all because I was the first celebrity to be diagnosed with coronavirus. Since being diagnosed I have been the ‘dad of America’ more than ever, because nobody wants to be near me for a long time, and I make people feel uncomfortable “, added.

In his public monologue and from the comfort of his home, the actor noted that he is in good health with his wife, singer Rita Wilson.

“Now, my wife and I are fine, we are fine. We are hunkered down as we all should be. In fact, this suit, this is the first time I’ve worn anything other than sweatpants since March 11. And my wife had to help me put it on, because I forgot how the buttons work, ” counted.

Hanks was on Australia’s Gold Coast to shoot an Elvis Presley biopic when he and Wilson contracted the disease. The couple was admitted to the hospital, where they were treated before being released to isolation. They are currently in the United States and live in quarantine.
