Brazil, Bolsonaro under attack: vaccine plan “for incompetent”
Brazil’s president Jair Bolsonaro was harshly criticized by opponents and the press for the country’s vaccination plan, the second in the number of Covid victims, judged to be “incompetent”. This has sparked a new round of criticism of the far-right president, who has consistently challenged expert advice on containing the pandemic and recently declared that he has no plans to be vaccinated. “The murderous stupidity of President Jair Bolsonaro in the face of the coronavirus pandemic has exceeded all limits,” writes the newspaper “Folha de Sao Paulo” and the newspaper “Estado de Sao Paulo” condemned the “lethal incompetence” of the government.
