Coronavirus, the bulletin of the Calabria Region of today 9 November
Today in Calabria there have been 4 dead, 14 healed e 443 new positive cases to Coronavirus (new regional record) on 2.196 people undergoing swabs. In the last 24 hours in Calabria the 20,1% of test subjects. It is the highest figure since the beginning of the pandemic in Calabria, for the first time even higher than the national average (which today is 17,10%). According to the official bulletin provided by the Region, the new cases detected today are divided as follows:
- 199 in the province of Cosenza
- 173 in the province of Reggio Calabria
- 48 in the province of Crotone
- 18 in the province of Catanzaro
- 5 in the province of Vibo Valentia
The number of cases in Calabria since the beginning of the pandemic is 7.908 people its 298,062 test subjects. The percentage of positives on the controlled is 2,6% and it’s by far the lowest in Italy. In Calabria they have even been subjected to swabs 37.6 people for each positive. In no region of Italy have so many people been swabed than in each positive case. It is the most important data that testifies to the number of swabs carried out compared to the real spread of the pandemic, and it is the highest number in all of Italy. Calabria, with these data, is by far the region least affected by the pandemic in Italy.
The updated balance sheet to date in Calabria is:
- 7,908 total cases
- 144 dead
- 2,319 recovered
- 5,445 currently positive
- 256 (+23) hospitalized (4,70%)
- 16 (=) admitted to intensive care (0,29%)
- 5.173 (+402) in home isolation (95,0%)
I 7.908 almost of Calabria are divided as follows into the 5 Provinces of the Region:
- Reggio Calabria 3,125 cases: 32 dead, 920 healed, 70 in the ward, 5 intensive care, 2,098 in home isolation.
- Cosenza 2,410 cases: 54 dead, 633 healed, 97 in ward, 3 intensive care, 1,623 in home isolation.
- Catanzaro 1,206 cases: 42 dead, 347 healed, 60 in the ward, 8 in intensive care, 749 in home isolation.
- Crotone 483 cases: 6 dead, 173 healed, 20 in the ward, 284 in home isolation.
- Vibo Valentia 287 cases: 7 dead, 119 healed, 9 in the ward, 152 in home isolation
- From outside the region and from abroad 395 cases: 1 dead, 127 healed, 267 in home isolation

Note: The total number of Catanzaro cases includes subjects from other structures and provinces who have been discharged over time. It should be noted that two patients from other provinces were hospitalized at the Germaneto Polyclinic. The deceased are indicated in the province of origin and not in the one in which the death occurred. The count also includes the two Bergamo patients transferred to Catanzaro, while the numbers of the infection received after the communication of the data to the National Civil Protection are not included.
