Coronavirus: Tidian Caliph demands state truth “there is no solution”

The Ceremony of the 3rd day of the reminder to God of Serigne Pope Malick Sy was the occasion for Serigne Babacar Sy Mansour to meet face to face with the Minister of Health, Abdoulaye Diouf Sarr. The two of them came to offer their condolences to the family of the deceased, and finally talked about the news regarding the Covid 19.

However, nothing was planned in advance. Like Diouf Sarr, the Caliph wanted to go to Dakar, to the mortuary house to show his solidarity with the children and the wife of the deceased.

He first greeted the memory of Serigne Pape Malick Sy and also offered his condolences to the families of all those who have disappeared in recent days.

At this stage, Serigne Babacar Sy Mansour could not help but challenge Diouf Sarr, in the sense of a concertation, he said, on the management of the Covid 19 in Senegal especially with the number that attracts attention. For the Caliph, the hour is serious and it is time to speak more seriously to the Senegalese, to change the rifle of the shoulder in the way of communicating with the population which, he stressed, seems to ignore the dangerousness of this disease.

“You have to tell them things as they are. A press conference must be held to explain to them the reality of this disease which has no vaccine or any other remedy. That if they don’t take the necessary precautions, they will certainly die. Finally tell them that you have no solution for those who are already on hospital beds in this country and whose less fortunate are dying ”, advised Serigne Babacar Sy Mansour to Abdoulaye Diouf Sarr.

The Caliph to emphasize that “Given the level of contamination of the disease, it is always risky to pray together or even separately in the mosques. God decided so. The virus can be there and when you bow down, you can leave it there or contract it. In addition, in our understanding of Islam, collective prayer requires to stand foot to shoulder and shoulder to shoulder to respect the charters and at this stage, it is no longer worth it ”, estimated the Caliph who said he did not understand the relaxation of the State regarding the measures which had already been taken within the framework of the state of health emergency.

“You had taken steps to adapt to the level of presence of the disease. This one having evolved, you abandon them, it’s all the same incomprehensible ”, he criticized, noting that “A manager must never shirk his responsibilities”.
