Coronavirus: three administrative closings in Haute-Corse

Three establishments in Haute-Corse are subject to administrative closure for a period of twenty days for non-compliance with health rules relating to the Covid-19 coronavirus crisis, in this case non-compliance with the deconfinement protocol .

This decision taken by the prefect of Haute-Corse, whose services had pointed out, a few days ago, an overcrowding of these establishments, concerns a hut installed in Lucciana on the lagoon of the Marana, a bar located in Saint-Florent and another in Moltifao.

Two other drinking establishments, located in Bastia and Calvi, are the subject of a formal notice.

As part of phase 2 of the government’s deconfinement plan, restaurants, cafes and bars were able to reopen on June 2 in compliance with barrier gestures and strict physical distancing rules, provided for in the health protocol governing the resumption of ‘activity.

“However, these last evenings, in Lucciana, Saint-Florent and in other municipalities, the police have been led to observe irresponsible behavior in several establishments and to report breaches of health rules”, had emphasized on Saturday June 6, in a press release, the prefect of Haute-Corse, François Ravier.

The state representative had indicated that the heads of these establishments will be summoned to the prefecture this week for a contradictory interview prior to any decision to close the administration. “The fight against the spread of Covid-19 remains the priority to ensure the safety of all and prevent the saturation of hospital capacities”, reminded the prefect who condemned “Firmly such dangerous behavior.

The lack of vigilance of some who do not allow the respect of barrier gestures risks compromising the recovery long awaited by professionals. The virus is still circulating in the country and it is important to keep good reflexes during deconfinement in order to avoid any new containment measure that would be detrimental to the tourist season. ”
