He is well and we all wish him a speedy recovery both to him and to Dr. Lardieri », underlines Antonio Poggiana, general director of the Giuliano Isontina university health agency. Which is experiencing hectic days to better organize health services, given the explosion in the number of infected.
Once the positivity to Covid-19 of Lardieri and Donada was formalized, the protocol provided for in these cases was immediately triggered, with the sanitization and sanitation of the departments in which the two professionals work, without forgetting the execution of all operations anticipated and consequent anti-contagion. In addition, all the movements of health workers were reconstructed as part of the tracing work. “The whole procedure, widely codified, has been activated and there is no risk either for patients or for other operators”, adds Daniele Pittioni, medical-hospital director and head of the two hospitals. In these cases, the health authorities adopt the utmost precautions and the most accurate controls to prevent Covid-19 from dangerously infecting patients who, by definition, are weak subjects. Moreover, for several days both the San Giovanni di Dio and the San Polo have been launched more stringent checks at the entrances with the use of security guards who measure the temperature of all those who enter the hospitals, while distributing sanitizing gel in profusion. .
In recent days it had emerged that fourteen employees of Asugi (Julian Isonzo University Healthcare Company) were absent for Covid-19. Of these 14, eight were and are “nosocomial”, that is, they contracted the virus inside the hospital and were all concentrated at the San Polo di Monfalcone while at the San Giovanni di Dio di Gorizia there was no positive result, but the data still has not it included the contagion of the head of cardiology. And the remaining six, absent due to illness, were and are part of the Asugi health staff who contracted the disease in the family environment, because their wife or husband were already positive, rather than a child. In short, hospitals have nothing to do with the virus.
