Far-right voters, most pessimistic about the virus
Followers of European far-right formations are the most pessimistic about what the coronavirus pandemic will represent for their personal future and that of their country, according to a study by the Bertelmann Foundation. A majority of Europeans – 58% – have a more optimistic perspective regarding their personal future than that of their country, points out that report, the result of a survey of 12,933 citizens of Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland and Spain. However, this optimism falls among the followers of extreme right-wing formations, the study continues, specifying the cases of Germany, France, Poland, Italy, Belgium and Holland there.
