The SPÖ party leader Pamela Rendi-Wagner today called for an extensive package for workers and entrepreneurs in the wake of the corona pandemic. “The social security contributions should be paid by the federal government,” said the chairwoman on Saturday in a mailing with a view of small and medium-sized enterprises.
She also listed liquidity support for businesses, such as the deferral of taxes and social security contributions, as well as government bridging loans and more funds for short-time work.
If work is lost due to the need for care at home, the federal government should pay for the wages. A corresponding application by SPÖ to change the Epidemic law will be introduced.
