Update on the situation in hospitals
In Brittany, the number of Covid-19 patients admitted to intensive care remains low, with a decline that started almost two months ago (April 6). There are 11 of them (stable since Tuesday June 9) in these departments of hospitals in the region. At the peak, they were 138.
Thirteen patients have returned home in the past 48 hours, bringing to 1,174 people the number of patients who have been discharged from the hospital.
Some of them continue their care at home.
The tests
The gradual lifting of confinement is accompanied by a massive increase in screening tests for all those who present symptoms and all those who have been in contact with sick people.
Specific campaigns are also carried out with identified audiences: vulnerable people, residents of collective accommodation structures and staff working in these establishments.
These virological diagnostic tests (RT-PCR) make it possible to detect the presence of the virus via a nasal sample.
