Disinfectant campaign in Corona times: Aldi was not prepared for a rush
As in the other Aldi branches throughout Germany, the promotional products were sold directly at the checkout. “We had eight boxes full, a lot,” emphasizes Pehlic. To cope with the rush, Aldi introduced the rule that each customer can only buy three products. The discounter was not prepared for such high demand.
