Coronavirus. MPs Republicans present their own deconfinement strategy

Obligatory masks in transport, reopening of certain coffee shops from May 11 … MEPs The Republicans have worked out their own “Deconfinement strategy” with a series of proposals unveiled this Sunday by the JDD.

“Deconfinement is an essential step” than France must succeed”, says the document of about twenty pages, which pleads for “A clear, territorialized and protected deconfinement”.

For LR deputies “The two priorities are economic recovery and the protection of populations”, summed up the boss of the deputies LR Damien Abad.

The document therefore pleads for “Make it compulsory to wear a mask in public transport and supermarkets” and to develop “A massive screening strategy”.

In this process “You have to trust local players”added Mr. Abad, arguing for “A deconfinement at the scale of the department” especially for schools and coffee shops.

“Extension of partial unemployment”

For “Avoid deconfinement being a second economic shock”, the LR deputies plead for a “Extension of partial unemployment” and an “Outright cancellation of social and tax charges” for SMEs and VSEs forced to close since mid-March.

They also ask “A major investment plan to relaunch public procurement”, a doubling (from 7 to 14 billion euros) of the support fund for small businesses, and for cafes-hotels-restaurants they consider possible “Early reopening between May 11”, in the least affected departments, “And June 15”, depending on the specificities of the territories.

Another proposal for the tourism sector:“A promotion campaign is launched on traveling and going to France this summer”.

For schools they ask “A compulsory, gradual recovery under protection”, which involves testing “All of the teachers 48 hours before classes resume” and then “Systematically and weekly”said Abad.

You must also keep the canteens closed and “Make it compulsory for students to take their temperature at the entrance to school or school transport”, according to their plan.

Finally they ask “The freezing of any closure of beds” or services “For twelve months” in social and medical social establishments, and ask to authorize the heads of establishments “To create the necessary beds” without prior authorization from the ARS.
