“The number of new cases of infection increased per day by 3,395,785, deaths – by 7,735,” the report says.
This is the highest incidence rate per day.
The previous record was set on January 6th. Then, 2,618,130 infected people were reported per day.
Most of the confirmed cases of infection were found in the United States. There, 61,332,277 people fell ill with the coronavirus. This is followed by India (36,070,510), Brazil (22,558,695), the UK (14,732,598) and France (12,246,358). The most lethal outcomes are in the USA – 833,519, in Brazil (620,091), in India (484,655). They are followed by Russia (318,432) and Mexico (300,573).
