The Mayor of Medellín determined that the city will enter Partial curfew from this Friday, as a measure to prevent the spread of covid-19.
This measure will govern at night, from 10:00 pm on Friday, August 21 until 6:00 am on Saturday, August 22. Likewise, from 10:00 pm on Saturday August 22 to 6:00 am on Sunday 23.

“We seek to protect the health and life of Medellin, also attending to the request of the Government of Antioquia and the Ministry of Health and Social Protection to maintain a strategy that allows us to face a possible increase in cases in Medellín, but without stopping productive life “, assured the Secretary of Government, Esteban Restrepo .
During this period it will not be possible to circulate in the city, except in cases excepted by decree. Outside these hours, the peak and schedule announced since last weekend for the municipalities that make up the Metropolitan Area will govern. Saturday applies for cards ending in 8 and 9 and Sunday for those ending in 0 and 1.

Although the curfew will have no prohibition restrictions, the consumption of intoxicating beverages in open spaces and commercial establishments will be prohibited, as contemplated by Decree 1076 of 2020 of the National Government.
In addition, according to the Municipal Administration, only food addresses are authorized, while liquor addresses are prohibited.
