A new assessment, after more than four months of epidemic. Since Thursday evening, the Directorate General of Health (DGS) has counted 26 new deaths linked to Covid-19.
In total, 29,778 deaths have been deplored in the country since March 1, including 19,290 in hospitals and 10,488 in social and medico-social establishments such as nursing homes (according to figures updated each week and whose latest assessment was released Tuesday).
In the intensive care units, the number of patients continues to decline, with 634 people hospitalized in these services dedicated to serious cases, including 15 new patients admitted in the last 24 hours. A total of 8,886 patients are currently hospitalized after being infected with SARS-CoV-2, of which 87 new admissions were recorded in 24 hours.
“The virus continues to circulate on the territory, as shown by the number of new” clusters “(277 cases grouped since May 9, including a new one, or 75 under investigation)”, warns the DGS.
